Uses:
Firestop 814 Plus is designed to restore the fire ratings of walls and/or floor assemblies by stopping the spread of fire by filling the voids and gaps for electrical through penetrations, mechanical through penetrations, structural through penetrations as well as between fire resistance rated wall or floor assemblies.
It is typically used in mechanical, electrical and plumbing applications to firestop openings created by the following penetrations in fire-rated floors, floor, ceilings or walls, metallic pipe, plastic pipe (e.g. PVC), conduit, power and communication cable, cable trays, busways, combos, insulated pipe and HVAC duct penetrations.
This intumescent caulk is also used to firestop openings and bottom of wall construction joints. Firestop-814 Plus fireproof caulk is a highly flexible, general purpose firestopping sealant that conforms to ASTM E-814 (UL 1479) standards for multi-family and commercial firestopping applications.
