Flamex
PF Fire Retardant
An interior, non-toxic, spray applied fire retardant penetrant
for unfinished woods, cardboard, paper, cotton,
wool, canvas, silk, polyesters and other porus
materials. Cannot be used on
nylon, vinyl, sunbrella, non-porus
or water proofed materials.
Flamex PF is a
highly concentrated pyrolitic formulation that prevents the spread
of flame by developing a self-extinguishing reaction. This product
is a clear penetrating chemical which incorporates a surfactant formulation.
Flamex PF bonds
with the molecular structure of the material thus becoming a part
of it.
Flamex PF has been tested in accordance
with NFPA 701, ASTM E-84 (Class B), UL 723, UBC 8-1, and ANSI/NFPA
255. Shelf life: 2-3 years
When applied, Flamex PF slows
the flame spread and greatly reduces smoke developed and afterglow
in fire situations.
Flamex PF
can
be sprayed on with any type of sprayer. An application rate of 300
sq ft per gallon is suggested for coverage on textiles and 200
sq ft per gallon on wood.
Flamex PF contains no toxins,
bromines
or salts, and is odorless when dry and leaves no stains.

CAUTION
: Spray applied fire retardants
should not be used on any material that makes direct contact with skin
such as clothing, blankets, pajamas, etc. Perspiration or children's
bed wetting can activate the chemical and may cause skin irritations.
